In my work I speak from my experiences and trauma: My images are intimate and suggested, I leave them to the free interpretation of the viewer. I intend to show a reality that is hidden in our inner selves, being a form of reflection and contained catharsis. Introspection is a source of inspiration for my work.

David Cardelús has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art by the University of Barcelona. He is a specialist in contemporary architecture photography. His photos have been highlighted by their graphic plasticity and he has been a finalist twice in the European Architectural Photography Prize Architekturbild in 1995 and 1999. His photos of architecture and urban landscape have received two honour mentions in the categories of ‘Buildings’ and ‘Cityscapes’ of the Lucie Foundation International Photography Awards in 2013. Since 2004, he is a professor of photography and architecture in the ELISAVA Design & Engineer School of the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
In my case, I’m a photographer who needs to search for the simplest plastic elements of Barcelona, such as its lines, shapes and colours, that are continuously present in its urban landscape, but very often, almost invisible.
When these elements surprise me, I capture them. Sharing this fascination for this attentive search gives me a powerful motivation, because at the end, I discover how to look at my city and people look at it through my own photos.
The question is how to establish an emotive communication through an image created with intention, so that each time we look at it, it awakens its infinite capacity to evoke each one of the experiences that we have lived in Barcelona.

To paint involves a hierarchization, to suscribe a theory of sacrifice: a beautiful painting is like a good speech : it has to enhance some parts, while others stay blurred, in the twilight..in order to avoid disgression, embelliment.
But making photographs is like painting with the light.
Between painting and photography, my Artwork comes and goes nonstop, always concerned by the threat of a force that would definitively hinder images to imagine..because images can also imagine and think.
Between digression and misdirection, my projects are located in a never ending story..in which the most handsome models of the world participate, without them nothing would be possible.
Art is an inaccessible search, a love story.
Pictorial photographer, art director in advertising and graphic designer. His work has been exhibited in galleries in Barcelona, Venice, Madrid, Sant Cugat del Vallés, Badalona, Santoña (Cantabria) and Calafell (Tarragona). Nowadays, he lives and works in El Cogul (Lleida, Catalonia).
Duarja rediscovers the beauty of the forgotten, the decadent, redefining what he has previously captured, guided by intuition. Reading the images, isolating the essence behind them. He focuses on the beauty and offers an intimate aura, a second epidermis added to the forgotten one.
Its framing reveals a world that is right there, nearby, invisible to its own condition of proximity.
During my youth, being influenced by my grandfather who worked as an optometrist, I already felt attracted to photography. To this hobby I have to add the interest I had in nature and science. The result of this combination was a self-learning experience in macrophotography and the realisation of a documental work that brought me to collaborate in many specific publications. Later I learnt that photography could mean much more to me. It was a language to express feelings, thoughts and moods. Regarding to that, colour seemed also interesting, but it was in the “black and white” style where I found the best possibilities of expression. I expanded my technical knowledge at “Gris Art Barcelona” and I collaborated with many well known professionals.
I have always been interested in the landscape as the subject to photography, especially urban and industrial sights. The metropolitan area of Barcelona offers a space so alive and changing that it has been unavoidable and recurrent for my work. .
Finally, with the digital process, the colour photography has succeeded into widening its expression possibilities. That brings me to experiment and research this specific style. .
Back in the 80s, together with his wifehe opens his first artisan engraving studio, mainly serigraph and xylography. He has always been motivated by his passion for drawing with quill, that he still practices nowadays, and that has marked his career path. Editions of his pieces of work during that decade and later on, were bought by several national and international publishers, especially in Barcelona and Italy.
Fred started in the Graphic sector, first as a graphic drawer in known printing studios, where he learnt this job from great professionals. His skills as illustrator and Graphic designer led him into the advertising world during a long period of time. He also worked as Art director in several companies within the Visual communication sector.
His art-work reflects multiple styles and techniques with a special and multifaceted way to face briefs, from pure line drawing to mixed techniques, but also using collage and creative photomontage.
His own style has been influenced by his first works: posters, book covers, CD and packaging. He has always been influenced by the design being so alive in Barcelona, which is the creative mirror of his insatiable and inherent curiosity. His works for public and private entities have won great prestige thanks to his stubborn constancy for self-improvement, that he continues to practice every day with enthusiasm in his studio located in Barcelona.
Creative advertiser and Photographer. After a long career path in several advertising agencies, Ignasi rediscovers his early passion, thanks to the consolidation of digital photography.
Ignasi has chosen the streets of Barcelona as the set to develop his work. His tools are a discrete camera and the sun light. In this great set, he always finds powerful moments of beauty, thanks to the treatment given to the light and his patience in capturing magical moments of daily life, which gives meaning to his pictures. His work with the light is well-known and admired by thousands of followers on social networks.
Currently, Ignasi is part of the Fujifilm X-Photographers, a privilege given to only 600 photographers from all over the world. He has won prizes as advertiser and as photographer. As photographer, we can highlight the following prizes and mentions:
Through my father and ever since I was born, I live photography as something essential in my life. I have always been impressed by the large formats. I have created a very precise technique that allows any image to have an incredible depth. [/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title="The Artist's vision" title_align="separator_align_left" color="custom" accent_color="#378cba" el_class="h2_azul"][vc_column_text] “Unique Focal Panorama with control over the perspective”, this technique allows to realize large size photos, large landscape panoramic shots, with an exceptional depth that makes the observer feel as part of the image. The right perspective is the best means to create a tridimensional feeling in a photography. The human eye calculates any distance based on the reduction of the measure of an object and the angle of convergence of the lines (linear perspective). Depending on the lens and the distance, the resulting image will have more or less depth. The sensation of depth is really an illusion, but it is a very important technique in the composition.
With this illusion to create large format photographs, where you can perceive long distances, I have shot sensational landscapes, unique sights and exceptional cities all around the world. Barcelona had to be among my most meticulous work: I have always been fascinated by the chance to see it in just one single shot, with all the depth required, taking care of all details offered by each one of its buildings.
I'm mad about Barcelona and its surroundings, as each shot allows the public to enter its singular places and spaces. I go on exploring this technique, to share real images. He studied photography in the International Centre of Photography of Barcelona and also carried out communication seminaries at the EINA School. Lombart lives and enjoys photography since he was very young. His hobby and passion for this art has always accompanied him, influenced by his father and brother, who worked with passion in the art photography industry.
Photography, drawing and painting are for Lombart, art expressions which belong to the creative and artist’s world. During his long photographic career, he has gone through different phases, his most recent vocation is focused on urban photography.
He considers himself lucky to live in Barcelona, a city he admires and enjoys with passion.
He defines Barcelona as photogenic because of its Mediterranean light, its architecture, its urban planning and its multiculturality. He enjoys the streets and spots of this singular city, that he visits almost every day, to capture its best moments with his camera, always different and fascinating.
The human element is very important in the work of Lombart, as it contributes to awaken emotions and feelings. In colour or in black and white, he searches in his photographs to capture the daily emotions of his city.
Mainly interested in architectonic and urbanistic motifs, Luis Enero has carried out several investigations on treatments and photo installations in the south of Spain. During this experimentation process, he has participated in several exhibitions, mainly in Seville, such as Double refraction; 8 sights over Triana: truths and fictions; Visions in the dark and 2 weeks in other city.
Proust said: "the books we love seem to be written in a foreign language". This is absolutely true for the artist, who thinks that Art's first purpose is shocking. This is how Enero defines the soul of his work.
He loves travelling and Barcelona owns elements that easily awaken ideas within him: it is easy for him to shoot while he is walking through the city.
He is strongly influenced by advertising, and even more by architecture, photography and cinema. He is interested in how story-telling is built in the cinema, and above all, in stories that play both with space and time simultaneously.
His desire is clear:
“I only want to take photos and be reasonably happy when the final image appears”.
He thinks there is a seducing force in Barcelona, that is reflected in the image where a space, a story, a project is created.
He looks for images that speak of architecture, of geometric abstraction, of the confluence between abstraction and the city.
He always tries to control the use of the light and shadow in the composition, to reach a sensation of volume when moulding three-dimensional objects.
He is interested in images that tend to a poetical expression and that reveal the sensual reality that exists in Barcelona.
He studied communication at the Buenos Aires University, graphic design at the Panamerican Art School and at the Roskilde University in Denmark.
During the last 20 years, Marcelo has worked in Copenhagen and Barcelona in the confluences between graphic design and art. He has published a book called “The secret book of secret places, Copenhagen” and he has participated in several exhibitions. The photographic collages of Barcelona are part of a line of work in which the artist is working called “City patterns & strange loops” about cities and mirrors.
Lerer is looking for cities and mirrors, and in his research, there is Barcelona: a city that fascinates him.
He considers that we, the people, are the ones who give meaning and stories to the cities.
We reflect on the cities in our own search. We travel searching ourselves along the way.
In that way, the aesthetics and the shapes of “City patterns & strange loops” is a search of the infinite continuity; it is a dream of the city that never ends and continuously surprises us.
He admits that he is interested in an impossible realism of that symmetry built from an impossible reality, nevertheless, it is possible in his collages.

Barcelona is the city that taught me photography, how to see things from other points of view. The challenge of looking at the city differently from how it is usually shown to us, makes it for me something very personal, a form of therapy.
I am passionate about travel and an observer of Life. For me, everyday is an inexhaustible source of creative ideas. I am inspired as well by architectural details as by banal objects that I like to stretch and stage. I always look for a very aesthetic point of view in the photography I do, mixing geometry, minimalism, colors and harmony.
"Photography is the art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I've realized that it has little to do with the things you see and a lot with how you see them" (Elliott Erwitt).

He studied at Manuel Belgrano Fine Arts School, and he also followed a course with Eugenio Mariani, painter disciple of Torres García. Painter and photographer.
Sayegh has exhibited in several art galleries in Barcelona, Madrid, Santander, Buenos Aires, Vienna, Copenhagen and Beijing.
I see Barcelona, the city I choose to live in, full of colours and shapes.
This city, once a grey one, is currently a completely transformed city, happy and modern.
I like to combine its shapes to create new ones, to saturate its colours or invert them to see another city, in fact the same, but somehow changed, a city that evolves and changes continuously.
With my camera, I try to capture the Mediterranean light of Barcelona, as it draws well-defined profiles and shapes. This helps its architecture, both the modernist and the most recent, to define its personality. Added to the spirit of its people, it makes the shape transform the soul; the habitat builds the personality of Barcelona.
Multidisciplinary artist, engraver, drawer, painter, sculptor and photographer. A career path of more than three decades certifies his creations disclosed in plenty of exhibitions, both at a national and international level, and in national and international private and public collections. After leaving his profession in the advertising industry as illustrator, graphic designer and art director, he focused his career in the free creation and outreach of his art-work. He organizes classes and workshops of contemporary pictorial techniques in his studio in Sants.
The published art-work of this artist is widely present in the network. Currently, he is focused on the evolution of his more recent work and techniques.
His multifaceted art-work over more than 30 years is hard to define in simple words, but there is a common denominator in his long carrer path: the passion and emotion of his genuine creations. The link that unifies us to the timeless, the beauty of what seems unimportant, linked to the ancestral aesthetic of the Wabi-Sabi. All these things motivate Paco Escoriza to continue investigating in his particular way of showing realities, sometimes wrapped by oneiric atmospheres and personal experiences.
He faces his projects and creations in the form of series, like “VINCLES” (Links), developed in the 80's. Or his widest series in time “OXIDS”, which has almost become an icon of his genuine vision. These series are still evolving, passing from drawing to painting, sculpture and photography. The artist wishes to use any visual technique to be able to pass his message. His most recent series “TRANSITADOS” (Travelled), “LANDSKIN” and “Ways of Silence”, are a good example of this evolution and vision.
Recently, Photography and creative photomontages are the visual tools that fullfil the need of self-improvement from Paco Escoriza . With the series “FACELONA”, he pretends to pay tribute to the city that has seen him grow as a person and as an artist, since the 60's. A city with a girl’s name that has never stopped surprising him as a kid, when he lived in the "Eixample Dreta". A district full of modernism, romanticism, where the fingertip of its architecture, especially Gaudi’s one, is always present in the work organization of Paco Escoriza.

“After a quick love at first sight with Barcelona in the summer of 1986, when I crossed the city by car to reach the Ferry towards Ibiza, I decided to come back the next summer. One week was enough to deeply fall in love with this city. Its architecture, its human dimension, its priviledged location between the sea and the mountains, the youth in the streets, the preolimpic effervescense, Barcelona’s design.. I had no choice, I had to settle down here. In December 1987 I became a citizen of Barcelona. The soul of Barcelona is present in all my Artworks, even if it’s not visually present, it is implicitely. I cannot separate my creativity from the place that welcomed me and created a new “me”.

“Barcelona and its metropolitan area are the beginning of my work, which focusses on the urban landscape, and especially at the lines and contrasts between the touristic city and its former industrial borders. An inexhaustible scenario, rediscovered thousands of times, where geometry emerges as an essential photographic component. ” (Ulises Salom)
