María Huerga

María Huerga

Born in Barcelona in 1990, she grew up within a family dedicated to the image. She studied cinema and television at the Ramón Llull University. It was not until 2011, during her studies of Dramatic Art when she fully went into photography.

Specialized in Creative Content Photography for social networks, she has worked for brands such as Violeta by Mango, Nescafé or Font Vella, among others. She has been suggested by Instagram as a user to follow.

The Vision of the Artist

Barcelona is the city that taught me photography, how to see things from other points of view. The challenge of looking at the city differently from how it is usually shown to us, makes it for me something very personal, a form of therapy.

I am passionate about travel and an observer of Life. For me, everyday is an inexhaustible source of creative ideas. I am inspired as well by architectural details as by banal objects that I like to stretch and stage. I always look for a very aesthetic point of view in the photography I do, mixing geometry, minimalism, colors and harmony.

"Photography is the art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I've realized that it has little to do with the things you see and a lot with how you see them" (Elliott Erwitt).
